The tension continues.

All the attention of this past regular season in the NBA has been focused on the unanswered pressure and tension that’s been brewing in San Antonio. The Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard has been absent for a majority of the season for what was called an injury early on. However, as the season progressed the fans began to wonder, “Where’s Kawhi?”.

After many interviews and controversy regarding the topic, Leonard continues to tell the public and media that everything is alright, yet he’s been absent from all games and public appearance in the last few months from anything regarding the Spurs’ organization.

Kawhi’s last appearance in a game was January 13, which was the last of the only nine games Leonard played this season. Picture day was the most recent time the players and staff saw Leonard in a jersey, which was in March.

Although Leonard has been quoted saying that he is likely to finish his career in San Antonio, concerns have been raised regarding his upcoming free agency. Rumors of the Knicks, Lakers, and 76ers have all been milling around as likely contenders for the All-Star.

2018 should be one of the most star-studded free agency classes in the last 10 years. Some of the biggest names in the game including LeBron James and Paul George, will be testing the possibilities of joining a new franchise come fall when the NBA season sparks up once again for the 2018-2019 season.
