There’s a famous saying that goes something like,”April showers bring May flowers”. However, there’s another thing that comes in April that grabs more attention than just the showers of April, The Masters.

With the return of some of the biggest names in golf, the field is set to continue to impress and provide viewers with an entertaining weekend starting April 5. Although viewer numbers have been lower than usual in the previous 5 years, the event looks to improve those numbers with the return of some solid talent this coming weekend.

Last years champion, Sergio Garcia, looks to maintain his green jacket and make it two consecutive years in a row that he wins. However, with the amount of young talent in the likes of Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Rickey Fowler, Dustin Johnson, and Jon Rahm in the field, it should be a tough and competitive weekend for the avid golfers. On the other hand, you have the 40+ aged golfers with the experience and background of competing in a setting like the Masters in Augusta each year. Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson, Paul Casey, and Henrik Stenson are all names that may purpose a threat on the course as well approaching this weekend.

A name that remained out of the previous paragraph is Tiger Woods. Woods comes into this Masters at age 42, with 4 Master green jackets under his belt, and is also playing some of his best golf since 2013. The experience Woods has in Augusta contributes to a compelling argument due to his resumé and his recent play in the past few months. With that being said, Woods is actually considered a favorite to win the 2018 Masters this upcoming weekend and add a fifth Masters victory to his already unbelievable resumé.

This coming weekend should be filled with all sorts of entertaining pertaining The Masters. Tee times are set to kickoff Thursday morning April 5 around 8:30AM/ET. One of the greatest times of the year in the sports world, and with some of the biggest names in golf back on the course, it should be a weekend filled with thrilling action.

Come Sunday April 8, who will be crowned and fitted with a green jacket as another Masters goes in the books?
