Soooooooooo Lavar Ball did it again.

Not surprisingly, Lamelo and Liangelo Ball have both signed an agent.

“Isn’t Lamelo 16?”

.

.

.

Yes

“Wasn’t Lamelo committed to UCLA for a FULL RIDE scholarship to play Division 1 basketball?”

.

.

.

Yes, but since he has signed with an agent he is now ineligible per the NCAA.

“So what are his chances to make the NBA now?”

.

.

.

He isn’t eligible until the 2019 draft, but Lamelo is on pace. LiAngelo, on the other hand is far off, as no NBA team is really interested after the shoplifting incident in China.

For some Lavar Ball is a genius, while to others he is just trying to profit off of his three sons, three NBA talent level players. He has sprung into the media with the drafting of Lonzo Ball this past year and has continued to stay in the media with antics such as this. His antics have put his three sons into a bad light, especially when you look at the oldest in Lonzo, who has been non-stop criticised for his play in his rookie year.

Lamelo and LiAngelo will play for a team in Lithuania, the Prienu Vytautas, they signed one year contracts for approximately $500 per month, in the “best case scenario”. They will have to start out in the lower of the two leagues, the Baltic League, as they will have to prove themselves in the unknown league. Lamelo is still growing and developing as the 16 year old he is, but going up against professional competition will certainly help him get more NBA-ready. As for LiAngelo, this is a try out to say the least, being able to declare for the draft after this season, this will replace his UCLA season that he would be playing had Lavar not pulled him.

Jonas Valanciunas, a former Latvian player, was asked about the two brothers and was optimistic in his comments. He told them they need to work hard, that working hard will be the only way they will succeed in the league. Valanciunas also said that if Lamelo or LiAngelo ever had any problems to let him know and he will help them out. He played professionally before making it to the NBA and playing for the Toronto Raptors. He’s currently averaging 11.2 points and 7.9 rebound per game this year.

If things go wrong in Lithuania, the Ball brothers have another fall back in the Harlem Globetrotters, who offered them spots on the roster this past week. Cheese Chisholm said he hoped they averaged 20 points per game in the Lithuania league, but if he didn’t work out he wants them to come and play for the Globetrotters.
