Movies from the 90s are the best things I have ever encountered in my life. Once you’ve watched one, you must watch all of them. One in particular has stood out to me from the dozens I’ve watched. Trainspotting, directed by Danny Boyle in 1996, is a British black comedy drama film based on the 1993 novel by Irvine Welsh. Starring Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald, the plot focuses on the lives of drug addicts who want to pull their lives together. The outstanding performances of the cast made this film a phenomenon across Europe.

Twenty years later, Boyle decided to make a sequel, T2 Transporting. In Edinburgh, Scotland, the characters reveal their lives after 20 years. The film has yet to hit theaters in the United States.

Coming to theaters March 31st.
